Trust God with All Your Heart

Proverbs 3:5-6
“Trust in the Lord, with all Your heart; Do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.”
In the Merriam – Webster’s Dictionary, the definition of “trust” is defined as; assured reliance on the character, ability, strength, or truth of someone or something, one in which confidence is placed.
But when trusting with all your heart, you are actually putting your life and/or wellbeing into the hands of another.
As babies, we rely on the instinctual trust we have in our parents, for our safety and nurturing. And then as children we are obedient to our parents, because they know our next steps and future, during our time with them.
But with God, our trusting obedience is essential because of our infinite divine life experience and journey. God knows what is up ahead for us, and like a loving parent, we are guided to our next steps.
God instructs us to be like children, with complete trust, in order to receive the abundance of all that God is, as stated in Matthew 18:3-4 ESV “Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven”.
When you arise to start your day, speak out loud first thing in the morning and anytime during the day, “I will walk in total childlike obedience to God and trust God with all my Heart”. Then let go of holding on to control, of how you think things should be or how you believe they should turn out. Let go of the outcome, just trust. Believe.
