The legendary and extremely talented singer, songwriter and guitar player Key’ Mo’, released a very wonderful and popular song in 1996 called “Hand it Over”. Keb Mo’s beautiful velvety voice captures the experience of the soulful deep emotions that the song communicates.

The song has been played in top TV dramas such as “Touched by an Angel” and “Signed Sealed and Delivered”. Both of these TV productions are credited to the award winning Executive Producer and Head writer Martha Williamson. The songs theme fits so well in both shows.

The lyrics speak for themselves. It teaches a beautiful life lesson on “handing over” our problems, struggles and adversities to God.

Often times as human beings we wrestle with our problems over and over in our heads with overwhelming endless chatter and willful human logic.

In the song, we are all guided instead to keep it simple and to have childlike trust in the Divine. God loves you and wants the best for you. God knows a better way and will show you.

No matter what the problem is, no matter who you are,

God knows knows you’re beginning and your future.

God is omnipotent, omniscience, and omnipresence. God is all powerful, all knowing, and everywhere all the time.

Learning to surrender to God our feelings, emotions and need to control, offers us an opportunity to experience a peace that surpasses all understanding.

When you have problems, consider getting into the habit, of letting go of gripping tightly to the struggle and just handing it over into the gentle hands of God. Let the timing and the outcome of the solution be in God’s time and in God’s way, not your’s.
